Some Space

I've decided to take a bit of space to get my head sorted out. Everything seems to have caught up with me a bit after the events of last year. That, and all sorts of nasty stuff to sort out that has recently happened, has knocked me back a bit. Shame, because I was just getting into the swing of doing more knitting design but that will have to go on hold for the moment as I know that I really need to look after myself right now and I can't keep ignoring the signs and plodding on regardless.

Thank you, to teeweewonders, for yet another wonderful award below.

I'm chuffed to bits and it's nice to know that my efforts at blogging don't go unappreciated. I have to nominate at least seven people but I've decided instead to nominate everyone in my blog reading list in the sidebar of my blog as you're all fantastic!

Kathryn has just finished test knitting my new design, the Estonian Lace Stole, which you can see on her blog. Some people got in touch with me to say that they would love a stole design using some of the stitches that were incorporated into my Estonian Lace Christening Shawl design and this is the result. The pattern will be available soon.

I have three or four other designs that I had also been working on before things started to go pear shaped. Here's a sneak peek at one of them.

Until later . . .

Blog Award

Sorry I'm a bit late with this but look below! I got a blog award from gjabouri! Thank you, gjabouri! I'm going through a bit of a rough time at the moment so it really cheered me up! :-)

Here are the rules that come with the award:

1. post this award on your blog;
2. add a link to the person who sent you the award;
3. nominate at least 4 other bloggers, and add their links as well; and
4. leave a comment at the new recipients' blogs, so they know they got an award.

As for my nominations, well, I read lots of blogs and enjoy all of them so it's really difficult for me to choose just a few but, as I'm mad on lace knitting, I tend to find other blogs whose owners are just as mad on lace knitting extremely fascinating. gjabouri likes lace knitting but she's already been nominated. So, here are my nominations in no particular order.

Kathryn's Knitting,
Knit the Knits,
Miss Alice Faye, and
Wye Sue.

Of course, there are more than four that I could equally nominate but those were the four that came instantly to mind!
